The iSchool conferred a total of over 760 individual degrees and certificates of advanced study to students in all of its curriculums in two convocation ceremonies on Saturday. That number included 242 undergraduate degrees, 312 graduate degrees, and 213 certificates of advanced study.
The following degrees and certificates were awarded:
Doctoral Degrees
5 students earned doctoral degrees (Ph.D.) in information science and technology
1 student earned a doctor of professional studies (D.P.S) degree in information management.
Masters Degrees
205 master of science degrees (MS) were awarded in information management
10 students earned the MS executive education degree in information management
19 students were awarded the MS degree in telecommunications and network management
64 graduates earned the MS degree in library and information science
14 earned the library and information science degree with school media specialization.
Certificates of Advanced Study (CAS)
Of the total 213 graduate certificates conferred this year:
146 students received certificates for their studies in data science
10 students received the CAS in cultural heritage preservation
1 earned the CAS in digital libraries
53 students received certificates in information security management
1 was awarded the CAS in information systems and telecommunications management
1 student earned the CAS in information innovation/social media
1 student received a CAS in School Media.
Undergraduate Degrees
242 students earned bachelor of science degrees in information management and technology.
