Travel major European cities and visit some of the most innovative companies in the world to see how they are employing technology, information, and data to drive their businesses.

Explore Europe through the lens of Global Enterprise Technology.

Focusing on the workplace and culture of major global corporations, this course will provide opportunities to experience first-hand how technology and information provide strategic advantages for several global enterprise corporations as well as many non-commercial organizations.

GET 487/687 Global Tech: EuroTech is a 3-credit course that provides the opportunity to see those technologies in action at some of the most successful organizations in the world. Students will have free time to explore each city on their own, as well as visit cultural attractions as a group.

Class size is limited to 30 students. Any matriculated undergraduate or graduate student is eligible to apply. Preference is given to iSchool students.

Students register for and take this three credit class during the spring semester.

  • SU undergraduates pay no additional tuition charge, as long as they have not exceeded the 19-credit limit for the semester.
  • Graduate students do pay the per credit tuition charge for this three credit class.

The cost for the travel portion of the course is approximately $4,000, and includes:

  • Round trip transportation from a New York area airport to Europe
  • Housing, some group meals
  • Transportation between cities
  • Entrance fees.

It also includes all activities and services for which a separate fee is not charged. The final fee will be set once airfare and other expenses have been confirmed. Financial aid is available.

Upon acceptance, a $575 non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your participation in the program. This is due within 10 days. Final payment is due in January.
