The newest experiential learning trip from the School of Information Studies (iSchool) will be heading to the Pacific Northwest in August, and all Syracuse University alumni are invited to join two evening alumni gatherings, in Portland and Seattle.

Students on the iSchool’s Peak to Peak trip will be receiving a firsthand look at the companies, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and their way of life in these cities. Peak to Peak is a sister program to the iSchool’s well-known Spring Break in Silicon Valley and EntreTech NYC immersion programs.

Thanks to alumni hosts, students will have an opportunity to visit with and learn from employees at a wide range of companies, including Starbucks, Nike, Intel, Amazon, Microsoft, Boeing and Smarsh on their week-long trip.

In addition to learning and networking at daily company visits, the evening gatherings also provide another venue for students to meet with alumni, and make important connections as they are planning their career paths.

In Seattle, the alumni gathering will be held on Tuesday, August 15 at 5:30 PM at the Brave Horse Tavern. Portland’s gathering will be held on Wednesday, August 16 at 6:00 PM at Fat Head’s Brewery. Alumni are welcome to bring a guest, and online RSVPs are requested.
