Dr. Tyson Brooks has been an adjunct professor in the School of Information Studies (iSchool) since 2014. Dr. Brooks has over 25 years of professional experience in the engineering design, architecture, and information security of complex information systems in the U.S. and overseas.
Dr. Brooks’s expertise includes work in the areas of cyber-security, penetration testing, and network-based intrusion analysis and defense in both the public and private sector. Dr. Brooks holds the Network+, Security+, CISSP, C|EH, CEA, GCIH, CAS-ISM, and PMP certifications. Dr. Brooks has published three books: Cyber-Assurance for the Internet of Things and Adaptive Security, Cyber-Assurance for Risk-Based Decision Making, and Cloud To Edgeware: Wireless Grid Applications, Architecture and Security For The Internet Of Things to contribute to the Cybersecurity field.
Dr. Brooks is the founder and past Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Internet of Things and Cyber-Assurance (IJITCA) [2018-2022] and is an Associate Editor for IEEE Access. Dr. Brooks is also an IEEE and Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) Senior Member and a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).
