Readers’ Advisors Online, a blog affiliated with the ABC-CLIO publication Libraries Unlimited, featured student presentations by Syracuse University School of Information Studies (iSchool) library and information science students Joshua Kitlas G’12 and Megan Rae Dornbrock G’12 in a November “In Libraries This Week” blog post.

Kitlas and Dornbrock presented “Reader’s Advisory” in their IST 605 Reference and Information Literacy Services. Their presentation included the history of Reader’s Advisory (RA), a service that suggests fiction and non-fiction books to a reader through indirect or direct means.

The students also include best practices of RA and have listed their entire presentation on Kitlas’s blog, including a PDF, Quicktime movie, Slideshare presentation and Lesson plan they used in their presentation.
