The Joint Conference on Digital Libraries (JCDL) has accepted a poster “A Content Analysis of Institutional Policies” co-authored by Syracuse School of Information Studies students Kayleigh Bohemier G’12, Thea Atwood, Andreas Kuehn, and Assistant Professor Jian Qin.

“I am very happy about the acceptance and opportunity to share our content analysis results at JCDL,” said Bohemier, a Master’s student in the eScience Fellows Program. “Hopefully, our research will inform institutions, departments, and scientific research projects about the facets they must consider when developing their data policies and prompt them to make these policies available on the open web.”

The JCDL, a major international forum focusing on digital libraries, is focusing on the changes brought on by the digital age in scholarship in the 2011 conference “Digital LIbraries: Bringing Together Scholars, Scholarship and Research Data” held on June 13-17, 2011 in Ottawa, Canada.
