Anthony Rotolo ’02, G’06, social media strategist and adjunct professor at the School of Information Studies (iSchool), wrote an article that appeared on the front page of the March 1 Syracuse Post-Standard, entitled “Blogging can turn your hobby into your next career.”

“Whether your goal is to find a new job or become self-employed, starting your own blog could be an important step toward achieving success,” Rotolo said in the article.

The article highlighted three benefits of blogging: Blogging is easy and fun, Blogs can say more about you than your resume, and blogging can become your new career. Rotolo’s article also provided readers with three easy tips on how to select a blog platform, how to focus their content, and how to get your blog noticed. Once a blogger has accomplished these tasks the blogger may be ready to begin generating a profit, according to Rotolo.

He is responsible for overseeing the social media strategy at the iSchool, working to engage students, alumni, facultyand staff at the iSchool.
