From hot sauce and beer with local roots, to online gaming and animated graphic warriors, the second annual Syracuse Student Sandbox Demo Day will showcase the innovation and dedication of Central New York student entrepreneurs on Wednesday, Aug. 18 at the Syracuse Technology Garden.

The Syracuse Student Sandbox is a unique business incubation program that gives aspiring student entrepreneurs from six local college campuses the resources to make their visions a reality. The objective of the Sandbox is to accelerate the process of ideation, development and deployment through mentoring and coaching. The 12-week, hands-on course has an end goal of producing revenue generating entities or investment-ready firms.

Demo Day is the culmination of all the teams’ hard work. The events schedule is as follows:

  • 3 p.m. – Company Presentations
  • 4 p.m. – Company Demonstrations/ Reception

The event is free and open to the public. Investors, mentors, friends, customers, business professionals, entrepreneurs, professors and supporters are all encouraged to attend; please R.S.V.P. to Jack Wright at writejwright@gmail.com.
