Nancy McCracken

Nancy was a Research Associate Professor who taught computer programming, data mining, and information retrieval at the iSchool. Her research focused on using computational linguistics to make information more understandable and accessible. Some of her projects included using natural language processing and machine learning to assist social scientists to analyze texts, building a qualitative data repository, and a study of the language patterns when using Twitter to engage in politics. She retired in 2020.
