Second-year School of Information Studies (iSchool) Library and Information Science master’s student Anna Chovanec has been selected to participate in the American Library Association (ALA) Student to Staff program at the 2015 ALA Annual Conference in San Francisco.

Chovanec is one of forty ALA student chapter members nominated by their schools to assist ALA staff during the association’s annual conference.

In exchange for working 4 hours per day during the conference, participating students will receive free conference registration, housing, and a per diem for meal expenses. During their free time at the conference, students attend programs and participate in other networking activities.

In addition to her studies at the iSchool, Chovanec works as a special collections research center public services assistant at Syracuse University’s Bird Library.
