Nicolas Jullien, visiting professor from the French institution Telecom Bretagne, Institute Telecom will present the first talk in the School of Information Studies (iSchool) Brown Bag Lunch Series this academic year.

Jullien’s talk, Firms and Open (Source) Communities: A Viable Match?, will be held on Wednesday September 14 in Hinds Hall 347 at Noon. He will propose explanations for involvement in Free-Open Source Software, both in terms of intensity of participation in open source communities and in terms of responsibility for the community’s organization.

Nicolas has been an associate professor in economics at Telecom Bretagne, Institute Telecom, a graduate engineering school in France since 2008. Before joining Telecom Bretagne, he managed a social science research facility in Brittany.
