Doctoral degree recipient Youngseek Kim G‘13 has been selected to receive the 2014 Eugene Garfield Doctoral Dissertation award from the Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE).
He will be honored for his dissertation, “Institutional and Individual Influences on Scientists’ Data Sharing Behaviors,” at the ALISE annual conference, held from January 21-24, in Philadelphia, PA.
“These individuals exemplify the excellence that ALISE encourages and represents in the LIS community,” the organization said in a statement released in December announcing the award winners.
Upon graduation in May, Kim was hired for a newly-added position as an assistant professor on the faculty of the School of Library and Information Science at the University of Kentucky.
