Alumni of the School of Information Studies (iSchool) are invited to a fall reception on Thursday, November 1, at Hinds Hall on the Syracuse University Campus.
Dean Elizabeth Liddy will provide an update about current iSchool initiatives, including entrepreneurship, social media, and the new program in data science.
Also attending will be faculty members and student leaders, along with members of the iSchool’s Board of Advisors. Board members, who are on campus for the Board’s semi-annual meeting, include senior leaders in business, industry, government, libraries, media and education. In their roles, they serve to help shape and realize the school’s vision as the number one information school in the world.
Alumni and their guests are welcome to attend. The reception is slated from 5 to 7 p.m and will be held in the Hinds Hall social lounge. RSVPs are requested, and can be sent to Sue Nemier at: firstname.lastname@example.org, or by calling 443-2911.
There is complimentary parking for event guests at Booth Hall across the Quad. (Advise the parking attendant that you are attending the iSchool alumni reception.) Those needing handicapped parking are asked to contact (315) 443-2911 to make arrangements.
