Experiment with Librarianship Through The Library in the Library
Wednesday, October 27
3 p.m.
1003 E. Fayette St., Apt. 10

The Library in the Library is a new experimental workgroup comprised of people who are eager to test drive the future of libraries. The group will put local librarians together with students, artists, instructors, and anyone else who likes thinking about libraries, and will provide them with a mechanism by which to act upon their understanding of what libraries are and ought to be. Sometimes the work done in school gets accused of being impractical, “academic.” The Library in the Library aims to increase the interaction between the study and the practice of librarianship.

The first gathering of the Library in the Library will take place at The Art School in the Art School at 1003 E. Fayette St. Apt 10 on Wednesday, October 27 at 3 p.m. The AS in the AS is located on the third floor of the building above Spark Gallery, on the corner of S. Crouse and E. Fayette.

Come learn more about it, brainstorm some project ideas, then stay around for Happy Hour.

Any questions, comments, or hymns of praise can be sent to iSchool LIS alumna Meg Backus G’09, mbackus@nopl.org.
