
EunJeong Cheon is an Assistant Professor at the School of Information Studies (iSchool) at Syracuse University (S.U.) in Fall 2021.
Prior to joining the iSchool, EunJeong was a tenure-track assistant professor in the department of computer science at Aalborg University in Denmark.
Her research interests lie primarily in human-computer interaction (HCI), Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), and Design. Her research focuses on incorporating diverse values and perspectives into the design of emerging technologies such as robots and IoT technologies for inclusivity and authenticity. She has published at top-tier conferences in HCI (e.g., CHI, CSCW, DIS, ICHI) and Human-Robot Interaction (e.g., HRI), and has organized workshops at HRI’19, CHI’20, and CSCW’20. Currently, she is working on multiple projects– the future of work with collaborative robots, critical HRI (human-robot interaction), and redesigning a sustainable food labeling system.
She received her Ph.D. degree in HCI/Design at the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at Indiana University Bloomington and received her M.S. degree in Information Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA.
