Dr. Jane Asantewaa Appiah-Okyere, G’13, ‘24, was recently honored for bringing internet connectivity to rural communities in Ghana, Africa. She graduated in May from the iSchool’s Doctor of Professional Studies program.
iSchoolers were among the winners of the Raymond von Dran (RvD) iPrize for Student Entrepreneurship competition and the Hunter Brooks Watson Spirit of Entrepreneurship Award. The competition was coordinated by the Blackstone LaunchPad at Syracuse University Libraries (LaunchPad) and Bruce Kingma, Professor of Entrepreneurship at the School of Information Studies and Whitman School of Management.
