School of Information Studies (iSchool) alumnus Wiley Cerilli will be featured as the keynote speaker at the annual Economic Champions Luncheon, hosted by the Centerstate Corporation for Economic Opportunity (Centerstate CEO).

The event, planned for Thursday, October 20, recognizes local businesses and organizations for their contributions to the growth of the region’s economy. The theme of this year’s luncheon is “celebrating business beginnings” and will focus on the power of startups, the impact of neighborhood businesse owners and the entrepreneurial spirit that supports businesses across the Central New York region.

Cerilli was a founding member on the executive team of online food ordering service Seamless, and started SinglePlatform, a digital marketing platform for local businesses, that was acquired in 2012 for $100M by ConstantContact.

He remained on the executive team at Constant Contact until July, 2014 when left to join First Round Capital as a Venture Partner in New York with a focus on impact investing.

In late 2015, Cerilli left First Round to start his new venture as co-founder and CEO of Good Uncle, a food delivery startup that launched with Syracuse as its first market this fall.

Good Uncle partners with well known restaurants in New York City and other metropolitan areas to make selected food offerings available for delivery in other cities. The food is cooked on site in the cities where Good Uncle has a presence, by chefs who have trained closely with the original kitchens, to make sure the experience is the same.

Cerilli’s Good Uncle has begun delivering food to selected areas around Syracuse University, and expects to expand into other cities soon.
