Aaron Miller has over 12 years of IT and IT Security experience. He is currently the Chief Information Security Officer for the New York State Office of the Attorney General. Prior to joining the NYS Office of the Attorney General, Aaron was the IT Security Practice Manager with JC Jones & Associates where he developed IT security policies and procedures for various organizations. Before joining JC Jones & Associates, Aaron was Lead Cyber Security Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton. Aaron has also worked in various IT security and risk management positions at National Grid Utility, JP Morgan Chase, and Syracuse University.
Aaron earned a Bachelor’s degree in Network Administration from Alfred State College and a Master’s degree in Information Management and a certificate of advanced study in Information Security Management from Syracuse University. Aaron currently holds the following professional certifications; Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Network Penetration Testing Certification (GPEN) and Project Management Principal (PMP). Aaron is an active member of the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2and Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
