The Alumni Office at the School of Information Studies (iSchool) is expanding its traditional Summer Shindig gatherings to include a new city this year – Boston.
The events, for all iSchool students, parents, alumni, and their guests, will be held in Washington, D.C. on Monday, June 24, New York City on Wednesday, July 10th, and in Boston on Thursday, July 11th.
“We’ve always felt that our long-standing New York event was a great opportunity to bring iSchool alumni together with parents, current students, and with the internship supervisors of those students,” said Julie Walas, director of student and alumni engagement at the iSchool. “And last year we added D.C. to our Summer Shindig plans and it was well received. So this year we decided to expand again and bring the spirit and energy to the Boston area, where we also have a large concentration of alumni as well as students completing their summer internships.”
The event in D.C. will be held at the POV Rooftop Lounge at the W Hotel. The New York event will be held, as in years past, on the rooftop bar at Beer Authority on West 40th Street. The inaugural Boston event will be at Legal Harborside’s rooftop lounge. View details and RSVP information for all Summer Shindig events.
