The Syracuse University School of Information Studies (iSchool) is not the only one excited about Sean Keeley’s upcoming blogging course, Blogging for Information Professionals. ABCNews.com featured a recent article on Keeley’s week-long course, which starts next Monday, May 16.

Keeley graduated from Syracuse University in 2000 and has been a dedicated Orange fan ever since. He currently lives in Seattle, Washington and considers himself a “professional blogger.” Keeley is an editor of sbnation.com, a sports blog covering teams of all kinds, and he manages two other blogs; Troy Nunes is An Absolute Magician and Freemont Universe. Nunes Magician is dedicated to Syracuse sports, while Freemont Universe is about local news in his neighborhood.

Keeley’s experience writing and maintaining these three blogs have provided him with a wealth of knowledge, which he looks forward to sharing next week.

“It’s going to be a course for people who want to blog for a living,” Keeley says in the article. “It’s not just writing a blog for yourself, but what about writing a blog for a company or corporation? How do you go about making money?”

For those unable to take the class, you can follow along on Twitter using the hash tag #NunesClass. Keeley selected this hash tag using a poll on his blog and it is already being utilized on Twitter. You can also stop by the Syracuse University Bookstore on Sunday, May 15 for a book signing. Keeley will be there from 1-2 p.m. signing his book, How to Grow an Orange.
