Laurie Kutner G’98, library associate professor at the University of Vermont, will discuss a summer digital library internship that she directs in Costa Rica at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10 in the Katzer Room, 347 Hinds Hall.

During the summers of 2008 and 2009, Kutner worked with Syracuse iSchool M.S. in Library and Information Science student interns to create digital collections in Monteverde, a small town in Costa Rica known for the high biodiversity of its numerous reserves. She will share details about the past two summers and talk about upcoming internship opportunities.

Kutzner’s presentation will be videotaped and posted to the iSchool web site. A reception will follow her talk. All interested students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend. For more information, please contact Barbara Settel at basettel@syr.edu.
