Awards & Recognition Program

The iSchool’s Awards & Recognition Program serves to highlight members of the Syracuse iSchool community and showcase their contributions and talents.

Awards Nominations: We accept nominations year-round. Recipients can be self-nominated or can be nominated by fellow alumni. Faculty, staff, and professional colleagues can also nominate individuals.

Alumni Award Details

Recipients of our Bridge to Success Alumni Award are young alumni graduates of the iSchool (graduates of the last ten years). Nominees of this award have excelled in their career, received recognition as an emerging leader through professional and/or community achievements, attained increasingly responsible positions within their organization, business or field of work. Lastly, the nominee must serve as an outstanding role model for current and future iSchool students.

Our Innovation Alumni Award recognizes a creative individual that has shown innovation in their field. This innovation could be an improved technological or customer-driven process or business model. The purpose, results, and data of the recipients’ innovation are taken into consideration. When nominating, please be sure to describe the innovative work, along with outcomes, including data on increased revenue, customer satisfaction, cost savings, productivity improvements or other related results.

This award recognizes the service of a volunteer who has had a major impact on the University, its schools, colleges, departments, students and/or faculty. Recipients of the Alumni Service Award are a graduate of the iSchool and cannot be a current member of faculty or staff, or a sitting Advisory Board member, though retirees and former board members are eligible.

This award is not limited to alumni, rather anyone in our community who has made a significant impact on the iSchool within the past year. Whether it’s volunteering to host a student group, partnering with faculty, or being a mentor, the contribution of the nominee has made a significant impact on the iSchool.

Nominees of the Dean’s Award have achieved broad recognition for extraordinary creativity, advancement of knowledge or technology, performance, or the advancement of mankind through application of his or her iSchool education, as well as a demonstrated exemplary service to the iSchool or university.
