Sue Corieri is the Assistant Dean for Enrollment Management and Special Academic Initiatives for the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University. She oversees the marketing, recruitment and admission processes for the highly regarded iSchool bachelors, master’s and doctoral programs. Assistant Dean Corieri also promotes executive education opportunities and establishes iSchool partnerships with different corporate, education and government organizations. Corieri was instrumental in forming a partnership with the US Army Signal Center in Fort Gordon, Georgia. This agreement has lead to active military officers enrolling in iSchool courses across the globe and to the iSchool-Army collaboration on technology and curriculum development. She represents the iSchool within the university on many committees and travels internationally as a representative of Syracuse University. In 2009-10, Corieri traveled to India, Saudi Arabia and Panama.
Corieri has been with the university since 1997 in various positions. She graduated from the MS in Information Resource Management in 2001, and was employed at the Center of Natural Language Processing for four years where she worked on various projects in the areas of information retrieval, data mining and health informatics. Prior to coming to Syracuse University, she worked for eighteen years as a medical technologist and managed various clinical laboratories.
Corieri is a current member of NYGAP (New York Graduate Admissions Professionals, NAGAP (National Association for Graduate Admission Professionals) and NAFSA (Association for International Educators).
