Patricia Mautino is president of the Onondaga County Public Library Foundation and is also completing her second term on the national Syracuse University Alumni Association Board of Directors. She retired in 2006 from active service as an assistant superintendent at Central Square Central School District. Prior to that, she was the assistant superintendent for instructional services with the Oswego County BOCES for 25 years. She also held a position as a college librarian with Onondaga Community College and as a planning and research coordinator for a federally funded regional program. Ms Mautino was recently elected to the Syracuse University Board of Trustees in May 2015.
Ms. Mautino has served libraries throughout her career in a wide range of elected and appointed offices, as well as through continuous advocacy and volunteerism at the local, regional, state, and national levels. Ms. Mautino's past leadership accomplishments have included serving as the president of the New York Library Association, as a member of the Council of the American Library Association, as vice chairperson of Governor Mario Cuomo's Governor's Conference on Libraries and Information Services, and as delegate and New York State co-chairperson for the White House Conference on Libraries and Information Services. Ms. Mautino serves on the Syracuse University Board of Trustees.
Ms. Mautino earned a BS in Spanish education in 1964 followed by her MLS in 1966, both from Syracuse University. She and her husband Louis Mautino reside in Jamesville, N.Y. She has been a member of the iSchool Board since November 2009.
