Author’s note: For the duration of Spring Break this week, 15 students from across the Syracuse University campus have the opportunity to visit dozens of technology companies in and around the San Francisco area. Follow along with them during their days of travel, tours, and fun times.
Day Six:
The last day of our trip was a very emotional experience for everyone. It also involved us waking up the earliest we had all week, which wasn’t exactly the most fun thing ever knowing we had to all catch red-eyes that night.
The day began with us having a great visit in one space with three different companies: wework. Silicon Valley Bank, and Acceleprise. After that whirlwind of a visit, we made our way to IDEO. After our tour with some really cool people, we all sat on their back patio and did paper plate awards for each of us on the trip. Later that afternoon, we went to Livefyre and had a fabulous lunch and tour with them and got to even pitch ideas to some of their members. To round out the day, we visited airbnb and ended our long day with a quick visit to Elevate.
Overall, it was an amazing week that I wouldn’t trade for anything. I’m so thankful to have been able to go on this trip and meet so many amazing people that can hopefully lead to a job for me in the (very) near future.
