Pinterest Gets Hacked, Instagram Features #BabySuiting, And More: Social Media RoundUp

Has something been a little off about on your Pinterest account? Some users have reported experiencing a recent hack that will fill up boards with several weight loss ads that are almost exclusively images of women’s butts. A Pinterest representative spoke out about the comical, yet still serious event. The representative stated, “Our systems were alerted to some incidents of spam yesterday evening. These reports did not come in at a large scale. We began working on cleaning up and placing the accounts in safe mode immediately. The accounts have since been secured,”

The Turkish court has overturned an order for Twitter to remove an account that accuses a former minister of corruption. Previously, access to Twitter and YouTube had both been denied.

If you’ve been on Instagram lately you may have noticed a strange trend going on. Ilana Wiles, a prevalent mommy blogger, started the trend of #BabySuiting. Baby Suiting involves putting infants in adult business clothes and taking their picture. These funny pictures have caught on quickly, and will be sure brighten your day.

Facebook recently bought out Virtual Reality Firm Oculus VR for $2 billion. Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a statement. “Oculus has the chance to create the most social platform ever, and change the way we work, play and communicate.” What do you think Facebook has up their sleeve with this new investment?
