Many professional conferences are held in good weather because that’s when people are willing to travel, which means that we have entered conference season. A conference is a time to connect with others and learn, as well as make  your knowledge known. All of that takes some preparation and forethought, so here are a few resources to help get you ready:

The conference day can be a long one, going from 7 a.m. to midnight.  To get the most out of the conference, take in as much of the day as possible.  That means participating in both formal and informal activities.  You’ll get a lot more out of the conference experience if you do that in term of knowledge gained and people met.
