CANCELLED: Spring Break in Silicon Valley 2020

March 15, 2020, 9 a.m. - March 20, 2020, noon

Location: San Francisco, California

Important Event Cancellation Notice

After careful consideration, the Syracuse University iSchool has made the difficult decision to limit our sponsored student travel for the next several weeks due to the developing outbreak of the Coronavirus. This means that we will not be traveling to the West Coast for SBinSV. The safety and wellbeing of our students, alums, and both the local Syracuse and Bay Area communities are our primary concern and pushed us to make this decision.

Because the travel portion of the course is cancelled, participating students will be refunded the program fee. In the next few weeks, you should see the $250 charge removed from your bursar account. Participating students will be notified via email of developing course credit options moving forward.

Students participating in SBinSV 2020 should reach out to Julie Walas ( or John Liddy ( with questions or concerns.
