Join us November 16–25, 2018 for Startup Dublin! 

Startup Dublin is a brand new week-long travel program in Dublin, Ireland. 

Startup Dublin will give you access to connect with technology companies, entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists in Ireland. You’ll get to meet a unique network of and hear about their way of life (both personal and professional). Participating students will connect with Syracuse University alumni living and working in Dublin.

According to Tech Life Ireland , there are currently 80,000 people working in tech nationwide and a further 8,000 IT jobs in Ireland are forecast to open each year.

Potential visits include: Google, Amazon, Paypal, EA, Dropbox, and more!

Admissions Information

Startup Dublin is a competitive program with limited space.

To be considered for admission, you should have, at the time of application, the following:

  • A cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
  • An advising transcript (unofficial is fine)
  • An up-to-date resume
  • A short essay submittion (details in the application)
  • A short video submission (details in the application)

Students who participate in this program are expected to not only represent themselves well, but also act as strong ambassadors for Syracuse University. In order for this opportunity to be made available to future students, current students must work to ensure that we are invited back to the companies who host us during this event.

Admissions decisions are based on a full review of the application file and any disciplinary records. Once admitted to the program, you must remain a student in good standing (academic and judicial) to stay eligible to participate in this program.

Costs, Credit, and Contact Information


$1000 per student. All interested students should apply, regardless of their ability to pay. The iSchool will work to make this program accessible to all who want to attend.


This trip must be taken as a credit­-bearing course (3 credits).
