Thirteen Employees Receive Service Milestone Recognition

Among the achievements highlighted at the annual Fall Convocation for the School of Information Studies (iSchool) on Friday September 19 were the milestone service anniversaries of a number of employees.

Dean Elizabeth D. Liddy announced service anniversaries for the following:

Celebrating five years of service:

  • Arthur Thomas, associate professor of practice
  • Howard Turtle, director, Center for Natural Language Processing
  • Jill Hurst-Wahl, associate professor of practice
  • Jason Dedrick, associate professor
  • Carlos Caceido, assistant professor
  • Bei Yu, assistant professor

Marking ten years at the iSchool:

  • Kenneth Lavender, assistant professor of practice

With fifteen years of service are five employees:

  • Eileen Allen, research administrator/senior research analyst
  • Lois Elmore, administrative specialist
  • Sue Nemier, administrative assistant
  • Jian Qin, professor
  • Martha Garcia-Murillo, professor

Celebrating a total of 35 years on the staff of the iSchool:

  • Roberta Segreti, assistant to the associate deans
