Syracuse iSchool Adjunct Professor and Retired Major General Dale Meyerrose to be interviewed on CNN tonight

Retired U.S. Air Force Major General Dale Meyerrose, an adjunct professor at the Syracuse iSchool, will be a featured expert on CNN tonight at 8 p.m. EST, where he will be interviewed about cyber security issues.

Meyerrose is frequently interviewed by both print and television media on cyber security and other cyber topics. He was recently interviewed by a Fox News reporter about the Cybersecurity Act of 2009, and on HSTN on America’s defense against cyber security attacks. He also gave a Webcast presentation in November at Rice University’s Baker Institute Technology, Society and Public Policy Program, where he addressed the status of cyberspace in America.

Meyerrose is the vice president and general manager of Cyber initiatives for Harris Corporation. He is currently teaching a new Executive Information Management course on Leading and Security Cyber Organizations. He has more than three decades of military and government experience in communications, information technology, intelligence, command and control operations, and space support. He retired from the United States Air Force in 2005 with the rank of major general. 

During his career, Meyerrose received the Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal, and the Executive CIO Top 10 Leaders and Innovators Public Service Award for excellence in public leadership among other honors. 

Meyerrose graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a B.S. in economics. He also holds an M.B.A. from the University of Utah. He graduated from the National War College and attended senior executive programs at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and the University of California at Berkeley Haas School of Business.
