IST Visualized: From our roots to the future
The School of Information Studies invites students, faculty and staff members and other interested individuals to a poster session entitled "IST Visualized" to be held:
Tuesday, May 3, 2005
3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Collaboratory- 336 Hinds Hall (across from the Center for Natural Language Processing)
The posters are the individual and joint effort of the students of IST 655: Foundations of Information Studies and several Ph.D. students who have completed their End of Coursework. They are visualizations in the form of timelines, concept maps, citation maps, and social network maps of the various fields of study that comprise the interdisciplinary traditions of IST. We welcome attendees who wish to take the opportunity to learn about the roots and future directions of the School of Information Studies and the information science and technology field.
