School of Information Studies (iSchool) alumnus Jack Aboutboul ’06 spoke to a group of students earlier this week that included class members from the Social Web Technologies course.
Aboutboul, an entrepreneur and developer advocate for video chat and instant messaging company ooVoo, was invited by course instructor and former classmate, Keisuke Inoue.
“Jack is one of the pioneers of developer outreach,” remarked Inoue. “This is a field that has been rapidly growing in the IT industry in recent years.”
Inoue wanted to show his students how companies like ooVoo are engaging with their developer communities.
“There are so many APIs or SDKs that enable developers to create innovative software,” explained Inoue. “The iSchool provides a great environment for students to prepare for this exciting career path and Jack is a great role model. “
