Flexibility

Earn a master's degree online

We understand that many veterans are juggling careers and family responsibilities as they pursue their education, which is why the iSchool offers exceptionally flexible programming for our master's programs. Our master's programs can be completed online, and students can change their status (part-time or full-time; online or on-campus) at any point during their learning program.

Up to 7 years to complete a program

From the moment iSchool students enroll, they can take up to seven years to complete their intended program. We offer students the option to switch from full-time to part-time enrollment at any point, and the iSchool’s extensive offering of online classes for master's and certificate of advanced study students makes our programs ideal for those with full-time jobs, a busy home life, or who are in a midst of a career transition.

Flexible curriculum

All iSchool programs have a core component with ample opportunity to select elective courses. Students are able to personalize and shape the curriculum to align with their career goals. As a student of Syracuse University, there is also the opportunity to take courses in other colleges and schools on campus, such as the Whitman School of Management, Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, or the College of Engineering and Computer Science.

U.S. Army Signal Center Transfer Credits

The iSchool’s unique partnership with the U.S. Army Signal Center allows students and graduates of the SIGCEN program to transfer up to 15 SIGCEN credits toward an iSchool MS in Information Management. It also gives students an opportunity to apply for the Syracuse University Army Scholarship, which offers 50% tuition to one student each year.
