The School of Information Studies at Syracuse University (iSchool) and the U.S. Army Signal School at the Cyber Center of Excellence (SIGCEN) at Fort Gordon formally established an agreement to enable qualified United States Army Signal Center students and graduates to complete master’s degrees at the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University.
The program allows officers who have completed courses at SIGCEN in capacities as information systems managers or telecommunication engineers to transfer credits that will go toward their MS in Information Management at the iSchool. Qualified soldiers will be able to transfer 9 to 15 credits from SIGCEN to the iSchool and can complete the remaining master's degree requirements online.
Eligibility and Admission
This agreement applies to students who have graduated from the FA-24 and FA-53 Courses in 2008 or beyond. Students who have graduated prior to this date will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis for transfer credit.
Graduates of SIGCEN are considered to have completed a graduate program and therefore, are not required to take the GRE (Graduate Record Exam) for admission. Application fees are waived for all veterans.

The School of Information Studies accepts students under the Advanced Civil Schooling program.
In accordance with University policy, students are required to complete both the SIGCEN and the Syracuse University program within seven years.
Students receive transfer credit for the work completed in the FA-53 Information Systems Managers and the FA-24 Telecommunications Engineers Courses.
