We’re preparing Hinds Hall to be a safe and engaging learning environment, and also working on options for virtual learning throughout the fall to provide you with flexible options as the situation evolves. Here’s what we’re working on now:

  • Clear guidelines for how to enter and exit the building and classrooms, and how to maintain 6 feet of physical distance between yourself and others while in classrooms, labs, and common areas
  • Increased time between classes to allow for thorough cleaning and disinfection
  • Rotating class schedules and use of larger classrooms than usual to allow for decreased density of people in the building at any given time, and appropriate distance between people when in the same room
  • Virtual access to all classes to ensure that anyone who is quarantined, is at all unwell, or is unable to travel to campus can still access coursework
  • Virtual advising, student services, and career services support options for all students

In addition to the measures we are taking, we will also expect students to adhere to all university quarantine, social distancing, and mask-wearing policies and procedures:

  • Review and sign the Stay Safe pledge before returning to campus
  • Masks will be required when on campus, including when you are in Hinds Hall
  • You will be asked to adhere to guidelines on quarantining, social gatherings, and travel
  • Avoid traveling outside of Central New York for the duration of the 2020 fall semester
