More than 120 people have posted remembrances of Raymond F. von Dran, dean emeritus of Syracuse University's School of Information Studies on the Internet.

A remembrance Web site for von Dran, who died Monday, is at http://ischool.syr.edu.

The cause of von Dran's death was not known Tuesday, according to SU officials. Von Dran, 60, had stepped down from the dean position July 15.

The university is planning a formal memorial service but details have not yet been finalized.
