Syracuse University will hold a memorial service for former School of Information Studies Dean Raymond F. von Dran at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 7 in Hendricks Chapel.

A reception will follow in the Hinds Hall lobby.

Von Dran, who stepped down as dean last month and was named dean emeritus, died July23 after being stricken by a pulmonary embolism. He was 60.
