Syracuse University will hold a public memorial service for Raymond F. von Dran, dean emeritus of the School of Information Studies, at 4:30 p.m. today in Hendricks Chapel.

Von Dran, 60, was the school's dean from 1995 until this year. He died July 23.

After the ceremony, all are invited to greet von Dran's wife, Gisela von Dran, director emerita of the master's in library and information science program; and his daughter Beth in the first-floor lobby of Hinds Hall.
