Visit Campus

Visiting campus is a great opportunity to get a feel for the atmosphere of the iSchool and talk to our students and faculty members. We are more than happy to schedule a visit for you! Our visits, hosted by a current student, are tailored to fit your interests and to make the best use of the time you have on campus. Graduate student visits can include any of the following:

  • Meeting with the Program Director for your program of interest
  • Meeting with other faculty members specializing in your areas of interest
  • Tour of Hinds Hall
  • Attendance in a class
  • Demonstration of the iSchool Learning Management System used in online and campus classes
  • Lunch and Q&A with your host

Please let us know what day(s) you are interested in coming or could come, which program you are interested in, and any particular interests you have so we can best match you to our faculty and classes!

Speak with a Graduate Student Ambassador

Team projects and group oriented class work are common in many iSchool courses. As a result, many students find themselves more engaged in course topics, while at the same time developing and fine tuning their collaboration skills which are an essential asset in modern information technology environments.

Jasy Liew, an information management graduate student, from Malaysia recently travelled to Singapore where she explored new technologies and innovative research studies as part of the Experience@Singapore program. Liew was one of 13 students selected from six participating countries to take part in the five-day program. The iSchool sponsors travel for students looking to attend conferences, trips or presentations relevant to areas of study.
