The use of the School of Information Studies network and computing resources is to be in compliance with the SU Computing and Electronic Communications Policy in addition to the polices outlined in this section.

The following facts of life pertain in the WebCT environment:

• All information posted in any part of a WebCT course is accessible by the Instructor of that course.
• Any information that is uploaded into the WebCT environment becomes the property of Syracuse University.
• All bulletin board postings and any file saved in student space with the name index.html in a particular class are visible to all individuals enrolled in that class.
• All information and activity in the WebCT environment can be monitored and logged. In particular, conversations that occur in the provided Chat rooms are logged.
• Instructors are able to track the amount of time a student spends in WebCT as well as determine what that student is spending his or her time on.
