iOpening Hinds Hall: Honoring our past, celebrating our future

An Invitation to our iOpening

On behalf of all the faculty and staff at the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University, I invite you to celebrate the completion of our new home in Hinds Hall at our iOpening on Saturday, May 10.

We have planned the historic celebration to coincide with our school’s Convocation in the Schine Student Center. Our convocation begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 10 and features a keynote address by Frank Bisignano, chief administrative officer of JPMorgan Chase.

Following our convocation, we will all recess to Hinds Hall for the iOpening and reception. University administrators, University Board of Trustees, iSchool Board of Advisors, and iSchool folks from the past and present will lead us in a short ceremony at 1 p.m. to celebrate the school’s bright future in its newly renovated home on the Quad.

A light lunch will be served, and the history and evolution of our school will be described in displays and faculty commentary in the special rooms named for various generous donors.

I hope to see you on May 10!
