Spring Break in Silicon Valley

For the past three years, the iSchool has sponsored Spring Break in Silicon Valley, better known as SBinSV. This program is an amazing, week-long sprint through everything the Valley has to offer, affording students the rare opportunity to immerse themselves in one of the most successful and prolific innovation cultures the world has ever known.

A dozen or so students spend five very busy days visiting companies large and small, well-known and under-the-radar. They make stops at incubators, venture capital firms, living rooms, corporate campuses, and well-decorated lofts. They meet with Syracuse alumni, startup CEOs, millionaires, and interns.

On past trips, SBinSV has visited companies like Facebook, Twitter, Google, eBay, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Klout, Livefyre, Disqus, and Ask.com. We have taken students to incubators including 500Startups and RocketSpace, and have visited other parts of the ecosystem like venture firms and Stanford University.

2013 Recap
