The School of Information Studies is home to the interdisciplinary Global Enterprise Technology minor. This minor prepares students from any major to understand how one develops and manages global enterprise information systems.
Dave D, Director of GET, offers a tour of GET
Global companies in every industry today rely on large-scale information systems to conduct their business—whether that business is banking, entertainment, insurance, medical, social development, or retail. Because these enterprise technologies are so universal, students from all majors will benefit from enrolling in this 18-credit minor.
The flexible curriculum allows students from finance and technology majors to add to their current knowledge base, and enables students from the humanities and other non-technical backgrounds to develop foundational knowledge from which to build careers.
Students in the Global Tech minor will:
Gain an understanding of how large-scale information systems are built and managed
Be on the fast-track to paid internship opportunities, case competitions, and research projects/li>
Earn a minor that will increase marketability with future employers.
