Students with six or more years of appropriate full-time professional experience in the information management field and who demonstrate appropriate professional qualifications may apply to the Master of Science in Information Management: executive track. Those who are accepted into the executive track may waive the internship requirement, and reduce the number of credit hours required for the degree to 30.
This M.S. in Information Management degree program can be completed on campus, online, or a combination of both options. Students take the same classes and learn from the same accomplished faculty members who teach in the 42-credit hour program. Students can tailor their coursework to fill knowledge gaps or deepen their existing knowledge to develop a specialty.

To be eligible for the executive program, applicants must be strong candidates for leadership roles in the IM field, as demonstrated by at least six years of relevant experience and a record of continuingly increasing job responsibilities. See Admissions for more details.

As a founding partner, we offer graduate level programs that directly address more than a dozen core competencies that have been identified for federal sector Chief Information Officers. All of the iSchool’s students who graduate from our Executive Master’s in Information Management program qualify to receive a chief information officer certificate from CIO University when they graduate. This diploma enables our graduates to hold leadership positions within the federal information technology community.
