MS in Information Management

Real information managers don’t just support the enterprise,
they empower it."

New ways of using information and Internet-based and emerging technologies are revolutionizing the structure and operation of organizations. Today, information management enables integrated business processes that extend the entire information supply chain from consumer to provider to government to user. Corporate profitability and non-profits alike are transformed in ways we never imagined, and as a result enhance the effective delivery of public services.

M.S. in Information Management

Staying competitive and productive in commercial business, non-profit and government demands a strategic response to the changes and innovations evolving from the collection of massive data repositories, rapidly emerging technologies, increased computing performance, increased communication capabilities and improved information dissemination and visualization.

The Masters of Science in Information Management (IM) is designed to prepare students to respond to four basic challenges confronting organizations today:

  • Increasing the productivity and creativity of knowledge workers, managers and executives who work with information resources;
  • Evaluating, planning and deploying the effective use of information and communication technologies within organizations;
  • Developing corporate and government policies to maximize the benefits resulting from the widespread use of these technologies; and
  • Improving the strategic use and management of information resources in business, government, and non-profit organizations.

Course Delivery

The M.S. in Information Management can be completed in both online and campus formats. The online program has the same curriculum, faculty, and tuition as its respective campus program.
