Overview
Susan's research interests center on bibliometric, image retrieval, and linguistics applications in information science. She teaches in the areas of computer programming and information presentation.
Susan is also the Director of the Undergraduate Program at the School of Information Studies. Susan received her Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Research Interests
Susan has done research in Bibliometrics, Image Retrieval and Natural Language Processing.
Specifically on the Impact of Computerized Bibliographic Retrieval Services on the Quality of an Interlibrary Loan Department and Automatic Document Description with Anaphoric Resolution.

Her teaching interests are on Programming and Information Presentation
Professional Interests
Since taking over the undergraduate program Susan's energies are directed to the needs of undergraduates throughout the University as well as to IST students.
