Overview
Jim Bair was a Senior Scientist at Stanford Research Institute, serving on the team that invented the mouse, hypertext, and windows. He has published three books, chaired several conferences, published over seventy research papers, and delivered keynote speeches on five continents. He has consulted to over 100 enterprises including Microsoft, IBM, Bank of America, Pricewaterhouse-Coopers, Siemens and AT&T. He has been quoted in numerous publications including the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, USA Today and hundreds of industry and research periodicals and books, and been interviewed on national television in England and the US. Currently Senior VP, Strategy Partners International, has over 30 years of leadership experience in the computer industry. He has been the keynote speaker at conferences around the world, receiving numerous awards. Recently, as Research Director, Gartner Group, he was responsible for Knowledge Management (KM) technology and founded the KM practice. He has founded the Cooperative Systems Consultancy, Knowledgen, Inc., and held senior management and technical positions at Xerox, Hewlett-Packard, and Bell-Northern Research.
