Teaching Stations

Description
Teaching stations were originally implemented to provide faculty with the ability to conduct class effectively and efficiently using a wide variety of technologies. Each lab and classroom is equipped with a station. These machines are located in the front of each room and all include identical hardware and software.
Behaviors
Teaching stations use an auto-login, using the m-ist-teacher account, which allows for easier access to the machines without having to login using your NetID. The recommended way to save files created on the teaching station would be using a USB or flash drive. Since this teaching account has a roaming profile, any data you save on the desktop of the station is accessible to anyone using any teaching station in the building. Any data left on the teacher account is routinely deleted weekly to prevent profile bloating. Also, each teaching station is scheduled to shutdown nightly and power on at 4:15 a.m. every morning to allow for more effective power management.
Hardware
Each station is fully equipped with the necessary hardware to make your computing experience as seamless as possible.
