AirOrangeX is Syracuse University's high-speed wireless network that provides an encrypted secure connection to the SU network. AirOrangeX is available in all University residential facilities, and in many University buildings on and off campus.

Using AirOrangeX

When using AirOrangeX for the first time, you must configure your computer for 802.1x technology. 
  1. Enable your computer for wireless networking, and search for available wireless networks. Consult your computer's user manual or help system for instructions, if needed.
  2. Connect to the "AirOrangeHelp" wireless network.
  3. Open your web browser and type in http://airorangehelp.syr.edu
  4. Type in your NetID and password
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen to download the appropriate 802.1x configuration tool.
